Henrik Johansson, President, Boundless
Q: How are you differentiating your company as a top employer in today’s crowded marketplace?
“I think ultimately people want to work for a company with a great culture. That means an environment that is both accepting and demanding. We treat our people like we want to be treated. We know that people can choose where to work, so we really appreciate that they have chosen to work at Boundless. We expect great things from them, because we know they are capable of great things. That means that goals are firm, and people are held accountable, but that people are given autonomy to achieve goals in the way they think is best. We always want to retain the people we hire, so we give them the opportunity to grow with Boundless. I can’t tell you how many people have been promoted multiple times and have built great careers here. Many have taken a break but come back after maternity leave or even after trying a different employer. We believe that diversity makes us stronger and we hire and promote accordingly. One of our core values is to “Embrace the Fun” which means that we are all responsible for being the light in someone else’s day and put a smile on their face. Many times, I hear people say that “Boundless is like family” and it’s then that I know that we are doing something right.”
