Quinn (PPAI 360359) celebrated the first Outdoor Marketing Day, June 13, with a barbecue for its team members. The Hanover, Pennsylvania-based supplier created Outdoor Marketing Day and Outdoor Marketing Month to help distributors show they are the expert source for outdoor marketing products as well as indoor.

The supplier’s CMYK-themed party was, ironically, moved indoors because of rain. CFO Peter Comly commented, “Rain happens. But that didn’t stop our Quinn family from having fun and celebrating what we do on a day that defines our industry. We just took it indoors, with grill master and CEO Matt Quinn manning the barbecue.”

Teams were set up to represent four-color-process ink colors—cyan, magenta, yellow and black—and employees dressed in their colors or added some of Quinn’s wearable accessories.

Comly says, “June begins the busiest outdoor sales season of the year, and we wanted to help our customers increase awareness and buyer education on the power of outdoor promotions.”
