Maple Ridge Farms Donates $7,500 to Habitat for Humanity of Wausau
Maple Ridge Farms presented a check for $7,500 to Habitat for Humanity of Wausau. The donation was the result of the company’s “Give Back” program for 2021. In that program, Maple Ridge Farms donates a percentage of the profits from a specially selected line of gifts.
Presenting the check were Jodie Schillinger, Executive Vice President, and Shana Gardner, one of the main architects of the program.
Kim Tallitsch, Operations Director of Habitat for Humanity of Wausau, explained how thrilled they were to receive the contribution: “With continued support from incredible partners like Maple Ridge Farms, Habitat for Humanity of Wausau is currently aiding our 70th family in making their dreams of home ownership a reality. Our important work continues because of their generosity and together we are building homes, communities, and hope!”
Schillinger stated, “Affordable housing and employment are very intertwined. Affordable housing can significantly impact employment opportunities, and in turn has the potential to create sustainability for a family and one’s career path. We are thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity.”

PowerStick.com’s One-For-One Program Results In 10,000 Trees Planted Across North America
In the 12 months since supplier PowerStick began partnering with the nonprofit One Tree Planted to plant one tree for every order received, it has been responsible for planting 10,000 trees across North America. The trees have been planted in Canada (New Brunswick, Ontario and British Columbia), in the U.S. (California, Idaho, Oregon and across Appalachia) and in Mexico.
One Tree Planted is an organization dedicated to global reforestation and, working with its more than 266 planting partners, helps to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for wildlife. Since its founding in 2014, the nonprofit has planted more than 40,000,000 trees in 47 countries.
“It’s rewarding to know that PowerStick has a part in a program that makes such a huge impact on our planet, and I’m grateful to our distributor clients who have made our donations possible,” says CEO Nigel Harris. “In the year that we’ve offered to plant a tree for every order received, we’ve heard from distributors how valuable this program is to them and their clients. We are often asked for a flyer or to provide more information so distributors can share it with their clients. We’ve even been asked about tucking a custom card explaining the program into each box of kitted tech products in a recent order.”
