Orbus Achieves G7 Color Certification, Celebrates 15 Years Of Partnership With Printing United Alliance
Orbus Exhibit & Display Group (PPAI 428128, S7) is proud to announce that it has been recertified to the IDEAlliance G7 Master Print Specification for the 12th consecutive year and is celebrating 15 years of membership with Printing United Alliance.
- The G7 Master Certification signifies that a facility has calibrated certain equipment and systems to G7 gray balance and neutral tone curves and can deliver G7 proofs and print products. This certification indicates that all Orbus’ print processes, substrates and inks are aligned to get the best color-match across different materials.
- Printing United Alliance is a trade association for printers and other professionals in the industrial, graphic, garment, textile and packaging industries. Membership gives companies access to research, resources, events, education and other tools to help build their business.

Power Of 1 Success With Promos In Paradise Show Week
The Chesapeake Promotional Products Association (CPPA), New England Promotional Products Association (NEPPA), Philadelphia Area Promotional Products Association (PAPPA) and Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) announced the success of their second annual Power of District “1” Shows collaboration which was held January 30-February 2 with 620 distributor attendees.
- The Power of 1 Show week offered a tropical escape theme for everyone who attended the four-day winter show week. Two grand prize cruise packages, provided by Promocations, were given away to one lucky distributor and one supplier from the week. The winners: Supplier NC Custom and SAAGNY distributor member Rachel Levin (Stran).
- Professional education was provided by PromoStandards (Jon Norris and Eric Alessi) focusing on cybersecurity.
Bindle Bottle Issues Voluntary Recall
Bindle Bottle is recalling its Bindle Bottles because they may contain an area of exposed lead located in the bottom storage compartment of the bottle, according to a company announcement published by the FDA.
- The recalled Bindle Bottles were distributed nationwide via bindlebottle.com, amazon.com, promotional distributors, and in retail stores.The product comes in four sizes: 32 oz, 24 oz, 20 oz and 13 oz. Bindle Bottle is also recalling the 24 oz bottle that is part of the Puppy Pack.
- Unpackaged food stored in the bottom storage compartment of the bottle may have been adulterated by the lead and could pose health problems to people or animals eating that adulterated food.
- No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
Amanda Clay Named President and Co-Owner Of Walker-Clay
Amanda Clay, MAS, has officially announced her new role as president and co-owner of family-owned Massachusetts-based distributor Walker-Clay (PPAI 109398, D6).
- Prior to taking over as president last November, Clay had served as Walker-Clay’s vice president of sales since 2001, helping the company win several New England Promotional Products Association (NEPPA) Distributor of the Year awards.

iClick (PPAI 254537, S11) has partnered with retail tech accessories brand Casely to bring an on-phone battery backpack to promotional products industry for the first time.
- Together the two companies have introduced the Casely Power Pod, a combination wireless charger and power bank, which works like a battery backpack for your cell phone.
iPROMOTEu Honors Its Top Affiliates And Suppliers
iPROMOTEu (PPAI 218870, D12) held its 2022 awards ceremonies honoring iPROMOTEu Affiliates and Preferred Vendors during The PPAI Expo in Las Vegas in January.
- Over 160 Affiliates were recognized for a variety of achievements, including Affiliate of the Year, awarded to Dan Hagney of B Marked Promotions; the John Lascelles Memorial Award, received by Mike Stanley of Interstate Branding; the Tommy Joyce Memorial Award, received by Michelle Robello of Red Zone Promos; and the Rick Badiner Award for Integrity and Professionalism, awarded to Bruce Anderson of A4 Promotions.
- Michelle Kaufman of Blue Monkey Promotions received the Affiliate Appreciation Award, given annually to an Affiliate who enthusiastically participates in iPROMOTEu’s programs and events, and seeks to improve the organization for the benefit of all Affiliates. Alison Andreasen of Extend Marketing, Elena Hutslar of Intention Advertising and Kristin Sager of Magical Marketing were honored with Rising Star Awards for their positive addition to the Affiliate network.
- The Breakout Year Award also named four Affiliates for taking their business to a new level of growth and success in 2022. Honorees included Pauline Vanderwal and Trish Jewell of TOA Print & Promote, Rochelle Moneta of LeRoe Promotional Marketing and Christy Muckey of Lucas Promotional Products.
- During the Supplier Awards ceremony, SanMar was recognized as iPROMOTEu Top Supplier of 2022 while Starline was awarded Breakout Supplier of the Year. Additionally, the Supplier Representative of the Year was awarded to Quasha Brown of Hit Promotional Products for consistently delivering high-quality service and creative solutions. Goldstar was the recipient of iPROMOTEu’s Supplier Appreciation Award. iPROMOTEu’s Top Twenty Preferred Vendors for 2022 were also recognized and honored during the awards presentation.
A Woman’s View, an iPROMOTEu Initiative, Presents Visionary Awards During Annual Networking Event at The PPAI Expo
iPROMOTEu’s A Woman’s View, an organization committed to supporting women within the promotional products industry, recognized three women for their extraordinary accomplishments in 2022.
- The 2022 Affiliate Visionary Award was presented to Shawna Tromczynski and Terri Molnar of Avalon Image Group. Terri and Shawna founded the Cleveland, Ohio-based Avalon Image Group in 2006, a 100% woman-owned business boasting 40+ years of combined industry experience.
- The 2022 Supplier Visionary Award was presented to Dana Porter, vice president of information services at SAGE Quick Technologies Inc. With over 20 years of experience, Dana has served as chair of the PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference, was awarded PPAI Volunteer of the Month, and continues to be an inspiration to women in the industry.
