commonsku Publishes 2022 Year-End Recap
Some highlights from communsku’s (PPAI 552077) year-end recap, citing trends for the promotional products industry heading into 2023:
- The popularity for branded merchandise reached new heights. Julia Janks, Senior Analyst at Trends, wrote that “Gifting is the new customer retention strategy.”
- Suppliers got very serious about reducing friction for their distributor customers. Many suppliers on commonsku invested in their connected workflow experience with distributors through access to live inventory, ship notifications, order status and electronic purchase orders.
- The GDP rose 2.9% in Q3, better than expected, Black Friday online shopping hit an all-time high and even in-person retail visits increased a smidge, according to Adobe Analytics Holiday Shopping Report. This certainly does not suggest that we have moved beyond economic uncertainty, but it does indicate that marketers still have budget.
ASB Raises Over $25,000 For Local Families In Need
American Solutions for Business (PPAI 101656, D12) raised over $25,000 for families in the Pope County area through their annual Adopt-A-Family fundraiser.
- Raising over double the amount they achieved last year, ASB was able to sponsor 16 families, including 36 kids, and a special gift for an individual in the area spending the holidays alone.
- This tradition began two decades ago as a special gift for ASB’s founder Larry Zavadil and his wife Diane as a collective effort from team members and sales associates at American Solutions for Business.
- The families are kept anonymous by county administrators, and the only details given to the American team are ages and genders of the children. Volunteers spend an afternoon of shopping finding items that the children need and want, doing what they can to make sure their holiday season is filled with smiles.
