PPAI’s NALC 2023 Drawing Sellout Crowd
PPAI’s popular North American Leadership Conference has lived up to its reputation, selling out well ahead of its upcoming June 4-6 run.
The Conference
The strong industry response to NALC lies in its potent combination of lineup, location and timing, coupled with the quality networking the event is known for. This year the conference will be held at the Hotel Washington, in the heart of Washington, D.C, just across from the White House. Attendees will enjoy:
- A welcome reception at the International Spy Museum with full access to the facility and its exhibits.
- The opportunity to hear from guest speaker and legendary investigative journalist Bob Woodward.
- An extensive session schedule featuring thought leaders and subject-matter experts from within and outside the promotional products field, speaking on some of the industry’s most pressing and engaging subjects.
- Frequent opportunities to network and connect with industry peers and colleagues.
“I love that attendees come to this event for the insights as much as the networking,” says Dale Denham, MAS+, PPAI president and CEO. “NALC is widely known for how it couples education with actionable information for industry leaders along with meaningful networking for every attendee.”
In Demand
The demand for NALC is always high, and what it has to offer in 2023 helped the conference sell out earlier than ever before.
- Demand is so strong that PPAI is working to maximize the space to accommodate a wait list that is already more than 15 people deep. Hotel space is limited, however, and the Association wants everyone attending to have a great experience.
NALC is riding a growing appetite among promo professionals for in-person events. PPAI’s well-regarding Women’s Leadership Conference, to be held June 25-27 in Eagan, Minnesota, has also sold out this year’s conference.
Firsts
This year, NALC delivers two firsts to attendees that will grow and broaden their experience at the conference.
For the first time, NALC is being held in conjunction with PPAI’s Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.). Running the day after the conference on June 7, L.E.A.D. is an opportunity for NALC participants to represent the industry on Capitol Hill through a series of meetings with legislators and their staff.
- L.E.A.D. is a proven, invaluable venue to educate lawmakers on the promotional products industry, its challenges, and all the benefits it brings to local communities.
Also at NALC, PPAI will reveal the first annual PPAI 100, a ranking of the industry’s leading companies. The list – which ranks 50 distributors and 50 suppliers – is unlike any ever produced in the promo market.
- Fully backed by research, PPAI 100 will not only track the previous year’s sales for ranking companies, but weigh many additional factors relevant to corporate leadership.
- Placement on the yearly PPAI 100 will become the highest recognition PPAI bestows on its stand-out member companies. The inaugural PPAI 100 is slated to be released to the full industry later in June via PPAI Media and reported in the July issue of PPAI Magazine.
“Many of the industry leading firms that are on the PPAI 100 will be at NALC, so it is a great opportunity to recognize them in person,” says Denham. “However, part of what makes NALC unique is that there are leaders from firms that are not yet on the PPAI 100 list but looking to attain this level of recognition. It allows everyone to learn together while also creating the best blend of networking at any event outside the PPAI Expo for industry leaders.”
